This possibly 19th century hand-hammered copper ash bucket showcases fine craftsmanship with elaborate repoussé and chased detailing across its flared body. The surface is adorned with pierced roundels surrounded by geometric and floral bands, meticulously worked into the copper toned metal using traditional techniques. A rich natural patina with areas of verdigris enhances its character highlighting its age and historical use. The upper rim features a scalloped edge, while the solid brass swing handle is secured with decorative riveted mounts and cast scroll finials, adding both strength and ornamental appeal.

Visible along one vertical seam is an old solder repair, a testament to the piece's long life and continued utility. The buckets underside shows wear consistent with age and has been fitted with felt pads for stability and protection. Likely used originally for ashes or coal near a hearth, this piece now makes an excellent decorative accent, ideal for use as a fireside accessory, planter, or sculptural vessel. Its blend of functionality and ornamentation reflects 19th century metalworking traditions trom Central or Eastern Europe or the Middle East.
