Antique 1907 Apothecary Box from W.M. Divan, Druggist - Springfield, Missouri.

This small antique apothecary box dates to 1907 and originates from the pharmacy of W.M. Divan, Druggist, located at 328 South Street in Springfield, Missouri. The original label remains affixed to the lid, complete with handwritten notations including the prescription number (#365), date (9-6-07), and what appears to be instructions for "Mrs. Bule" of "Three every 2 hours" complete with doctor signature, likely “Evan’s”

The box is wrapped in decorative paper featuring a delicate floral motif in blue, green, and gold. One side of the box is labeled "Stamens Etc," and the interior currently holds a collection of dried millinery stamens-likely a later addition.A rare piece of early 20th-century pharmacy ephemera, this box offers a glimpse into historic medicinal packaging and local drugstore practices in small-town America.Good antique condition with age-related wear, fading, and minor surface loss to the decorative paper.
