Store Operations and Sales Lead Associate
Position Overview
Big Whale Consignment is hiring a high-accountability retail professional to support store operations, inventory systems, customer service execution, and in-store sales performance.
This is a hands-on, performance-driven role within a structured retail environment. The individual hired will be expected to execute systems precisely, support revenue generation, and take increasing ownership of store outcomes over time.
This is not a passive retail position.
Tentative Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday
Initial schedule: 24 hours per week
Full-time (40 hours) after two weeks, contingent upon performance and demonstrated capability.

Core Responsibilities

- Store Operations & Inventory Execution
- Lift and maneuver inventory up to 75 lbs safely and efficiently
- Process, photograph, and accurately list inventory online according to company standards
- Execute established inventory control systems with strict adherence to procedure
- Maintain organization and operational flow of retail floor and back-of-house
- Support and uphold loss prevention standards
- Responsibilities may evolve over time as business needs grow and as the employee demonstrates increased capability and ownership
Customer Service & Sales Execution

- Proactively greet and assist all customers
- Provide informed product guidance across vintage furniture, decor, and makers market inventory
- Drive in-store sales through attentive service, confident product knowledge, and revenue awareness
- Accurately process point-of-sale transactions with speed and precision
- Support daily sales performance goals and maintain professionalism during high-traffic periods
Brand & Marketing Support

- Perform assigned social media and promotional execution in alignment with brand standards
- Appear on social media as part of store marketing initiatives
- Execution accuracy, professionalism, consistency, and sales contribution are critical in this role.
Compensation
$27 per hour
Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead or management role in any field preferred
- Demonstrated accountability in achieving operational and sales outcomes
- Strong ability to follow structured systems and improve them over time
- Self-directed, solution-oriented, and performance-focused
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and sales environment
- Professional presence and confidence appearing in position
- This role requires maturity, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
